Dr. Negi completed his graduation, MD in medicine and his DM (Cardiology) from the esteemed All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He is currently serving as Professor and HOD of Cardiology department at Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. He is a fellow of Rollins School of Public Health Emory University, Atlanta, U.S.A. Dr. Negi is on the Expert panel (project review committee) of Indian Council of Medical Research for technical review of research projects in the field of cardiovascular medicine.
Dr. Negi has acted as guide for over 50 MD and DM dissertations. He has been an ally in many multi centric studies & clinical trials. He was the Principal Investigator for numerous clinical trials and registries such as Acute Coronary Syndromes (ACS) registry, DEMAT, INTER-CHF registry, MACE registry and the UMPIRE clinical trial. He has also designed and initiated single center registry of non-ischemic systolic heart failure Rheumatic Fever (RF)/Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD) Registry. He has been associated with many population based trials and research projects such as, Epidemiological study of chronic mountain sickness in natives of Spiti in greater himalayas funded by DRDO, Ministry of Defense, Government of India, the evaluation of school based surveillance system for early detection of acute pharyngitis and RF, and the evaluation of impact of lifestyle intervention using Anganwadi workers as the center of knowledge dissemination in prevention and control of hypertension which was funded by ICMR (DISHA Trial).
Dr. Negi was the invited speaker in the International Congress of Cardiology BITS 2 in Shanghai, China (2010) to deliver a lecture on Epidemiological trends of RF/RHD. He has demonstrated feasibility of establishing sustainable non-communicable disease risk factor surveillance through trained health workers in Mashobra block, funded by ICMR. He has established sustainable non-communicable disease risk surveillance in Kinnaur district and it is being implemented by district health department since 2014 to monitor and evaluate NCD control program. He has also successfully designed and implemented a web enhanced multicenter HP ACS Registry in 2011. This helps in linking government and private sector hospitals to generate information so as to identify the barriers in delivering quality care and help in making recommendations to Department of Health and Family planning, Government of Himachal Pradesh
Dr. Roy is currently Professor of Cardiology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi and Fellow of American College of Cardiology. He is a member of numerous international bodies including the European Society of Cardiology, Society of Cardiology of Russian Federation, Cardiological Society of India and American Society of Echocardiography. He has been chosen as an Emerging Leader by World Heart Federation (WHF) in their campaign of "25 by 25" to reduce cardiovascular disease. He is the Editor (Educational Content) of Indian Heart Journal, section editor of Global Heart (official journal of the WHF) and Assistant Editor of Journal of Preventive Cardiology.
Dr. Roy has keen interest in research and has been a co-investigator in several landmark international studies including INTER-HEART, CREATE registry, STICH Trial, FREEDOM Trial and UMPIRE Trial. He is the National PI for INTER-CHF study, IVVE Trial and G-CHF study. He is credited with studying the role of alcohol and vitamin D in coronary artery disease in Indians for the first time. Additionally, he has several publications in leading international journals and textbooks including Harrison's Textbook of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Roy has been the recipient of numerous awards including the Mohan Lal Nayar Award for the best junior resident for the year 1996 at Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi; Jagdish Lal Kapila Award for the Best Postgraduate Student in Cardiology at AIIMS for the year 2003 and "Award of Excellence in Cardiology" at WCCPCI-2014.

He has been actively involved in providing expertise for screening of Chronic Kidney Disease and establishing PD programs in emerging countries as a technical expert with WHO Regional Office and ISNs Educational Ambassador. He along with the Center for Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disease Research a unit of CSIR, have established a research unit (clinical trial) to look at traditional and new markers for atherosclerosis. He assessed for the first time the utility of various prediction equation in screening of normal adult Indian population and was awarded the best paper at Post World Congress Satellite Meeting, Singapore. He has also initiated a community screening and awareness program for renal diseases in Leh and Ladakh region. In collaboration with the department of pathology at AIIMS he has established facilities for bone histomorphometry.
Dr. Mahajan is the editor of Delhi Nephrology Society Bulletin and an Editorial Board Member for the Journal of Nephrology Research, Journal of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University and International Journal of Biosciences and Technology. He is also on the review committees of various national bodies, advisory board member of PROJECT initiative by Hypertension Society of India, technical expert at WHO regional office South East Asia and member of the guideline committee of Peritoneal Dialysis Society of India. He has around 50 publications in various national and international journals.
Dr. Chopra is the Senior Consultant Cardiologist, working at Moolchand Medcity New Delhi for last 36 years. He is the President of Cardiological Society of India, World Heart Academy & World Wellness Foundation and President Elect of Indian Academy of Echocardiography. He has pioneering contribution in thrombolysis in STEMI since 1983 in India and contributed in the TPA project in clinical and experimental lab at Cedar Sinai Hospital, University of California, Los Angeles, USA with Dr. William Ganz in 1985-86 and Echocardiographic LV Flow profile patterns in setting of STEMI in the University of Alabama, USA with Dr. Navin C. Nanda in 1986-87. His contribution in STEMI is known all over the world. He organized more than 21 World Congresses in Cardiology. He is recently nominated by American Heart Association as the first India's Liaison. He is Director of Heart Care Foundation of India and Vice President of Jrop Institute of Echocardiography. He Authored the first "Heart Wellness Programme" launched by Health Minister, Govt. of India. He worked with an eminent cardiologist of India Dr. K.L. Chopra for 22 years, as a research fellow in cardiology with Dr. Naivn C. Nanda, University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA and with Dr. Swan and Ganz at University of California, Los Angeles, USA. He organized more than 2000 workshops on public health education and published many articles in print and electronic media. He is fellow of CSI, ACC, ESC, ISCU, IMSA, ASE, IAE and GSI.
Dr. Gupta has completed his MBBS and MD (Medicine) in 1979 and PhD. in Social & Preventive Medicine in 2006.He is working as Chairman, Research Development Unit, Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Government of Rajasthan and Chairman of Preventive Cardiology & Medicine at Eternal Heart Care Centre & Research Institute, Jaipur. He is internationally known for his contributions to cardiovascular epidemiology. He is a pioneer in coronary heart disease and hypertension epidemiology research in India and has established the first cardiovascular epidemiology research laboratory in non governmental sector in the country. He is in the editorial board of Indian Heart Journal, South Asian Journal of Preventive Cardiology, RUHS Journal of Health Sciences, Hypertension India, Journal of Preventive Cardiology and Journal of Clinical and Preventive Cardiology. Dr. Gupta is also chair of Hypertension Task Force, Indian Council of Medical Research, Government of India as well as the Centre for Development Communications, Jaipur. He is a member of projects approval committee, Indian Council of Medical Research, Government of India. Dr. Gupta has more than 800 publications including 450 original articles published in various national and international journals and 120 review articles including invited articles in international books.
Dr. Gupta has been recipient of Hypertension Society of India- Dr. S N Shah Oration award, Cardiological Society of India- Dr. V.V. Shah (NSPHERE) Oration and Gold Medal and the ICMR- Chaturvedi Award & Gold medal. He has lectured extensively all over India and abroad on topics of his research. He has received multiple research grants from Government of India (ICMR, DST, DBT) and international agencies such as NIH (USA).
Dr. Sharma did his M.D(Internal Medicine) from SMS Medical College, Jaipur in 1976. He started his cardiology career from CMC, Vellore and did DM (Cardiology) MNAMS (Cardiology) from KEM Hospital, Mumbai. Currently he is Professor and Head of Cardiology, Bombay Hospital Institute of Medical Sciences, Mumbai, India and consultant interventional cardiologist at Bombay Hospital, Mumbai. He is recipient of several fellowships including Fellow of National Academy of Medical Sciences (FAMS), Fellow of American College of Cardiology (FACC), Fellow of Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI) and Fellow of European Society of Cardiology (FESC). Earlier (1986 to 1992), he was Professor and Head of Cardiology, BYL Nair Hospital and TN Medical College, President of Cardiological Society of India (CSI) (1996-1997), President of SAARC Cardiac Society (2000-2002) and Chief coordinator National PTCA Registry of India. He is examiner for DM (Cardiology) in various universities and chairs selection committee panels of several universities and teaching institutions. He is an examiner for fellowship in Interventional Cardiology (conducted by National Academy) and also on several recommending committees of academy.
His expertise is in interventional cardiology and has vast experience in coronary, valvular and structural heart interventions. He has 80 international publications, 100 in national journals and 200 abstracts and chapters in international text book of cardiology. Dr. Ram is a graduate of Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad. He attended St.Paul High School and Nizam College, Hyderabad and completed his residency in medicine at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He is a fellow at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Ram's professional career has centered on the management of hypertension. Presently he is serving as, Director of Apollo Institute for Blood Pressure Management and Director of Blood Pressure Clinics, Apollo Group of Hospitals, Hyderabad, India. He is Director at Texas Blood Pressure Institute and Clinical Professor of Medicine, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Centre, Dallas, Texas, USA. He is a Founder member and past chairman, board of governors of American Society of Hypertension, and Director for South Asia Region, World Hypertension League (in partnership with WHO).
He is the author of more than 340 articles and four books on the treatment of hypertension and is also a renowned speaker in the field. Dr. Ram's work has explored the mechanisms of action of various antihypertensive drugs for more than two decades. In addition to expertise in clinical research and medical practice, Dr. Ram is considered a uniquely skilled communicator of scientific advances. He was the youngest person ever to become the Master of American College of Physicians and is the editor in chief of the Hypertension Journal. Dr. C Venkata S.Ram has been awarded Padmashri in 2013 for his valuable contribution in the field of hypertension and preventive cardiology. Dr. Manjunath graduated in medicine from Mysore Medical College. He completed his MD from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, and his DM (Cardiology) from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore. He is currently the Director and HOD of Cardiology at Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research. Dr. Manjunath is a life time member of Indian Medical Association, Cardiological Society of India, Past President and Permanent Invite of Indian College of Cardiology & Fellow of American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Manjunath is well known for his innovative technique of performing balloon mitral valvuloplasty and is also credited with performing the highest number of such procedures using Accura Balloon catheter in India. He has introduced a novel method of auto transfusion of blood in patients of cardiac Tamponade during Percutaneous Trans-Mitral Commissurotomy (PTMC). He was the Principal Investigator in India's first Indigenous Recombinant Streptokinase study (Shankinase) in Acute Myocardial Infarction. Dr. Mohanan is a graduate from Calicut Medical College, Kerala. He completed his DM (Cardiology) from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh in 1988. He has served as faculty in medical colleges in Kerala and presently is Director and Head of Cardiology at the Westfort-Hi tech Hospital, Thrissur, Kerala. He was the Principal Investigator of the Kerala ACS Registry which is the largest registry on ACS from India. He was Convener (coronary) of the National Interventional Council of India. He is the Vice President of the Cardiological Society of India and he is an executive Committee member. He is a life time member Association of Physicians of India, and Indian Medical Association. He was the former President of Indian Medical Association, Thrissur (2005-2006) and Kerala chapter of the Cardiological Society of India (2006-2007). Dr. Mohanan has been associated with various national and international research projects.
He was the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator for Projects like 'ACS Quality Improvement Pilot Program in Kerala' with WHO/Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and Principal Investigator Kerala CRP Study funded by Cardiological Society of India Kerala chapter. He is presently Co-Investigator of ACS QUIK (Acute Coronary Syndrome Quality Improvement in Kerala), funded by the NHLBI USA.
Dr. Bardoloi completed his DM (Cardiology) from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 2002 after which he served as a consultant cardiologist in GNRC Heart Institute, Dispur, Guwahati from 2003-04. He then served as Assistant Professor of Cardiology in NEIGRHIMS, Shillong from 2004-2005. He is presently the Chief of Cardiology at Apollo Hospital, Guwahati. He is also the MD and chief of Cardiology at Excel Centre and Excelcare Hospitals, Guwahati. Dr. Bardoloi was one of the Principal Investigators for "Registry of Atrial Fibrillation: Patient Characteristic and Clinical Management" conducted by Indian Heart Rhythm Society, "EPICOR-ASIA: Long term Follow up of antithrombotic management pattern in Acute coronary syndrome patient in Asia" and Co- Investigator for "LEADER: Liraglutide Effect and Action in Diabetes; trial to determine Liraglutide Effect on Cardiovascular Events". He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and European Society of Cardiology and has served as Honorary Secretary of Cardiology Society of India-North East Chapter from 2005 to 2011. He is also a member of the editorial advisory board of the Indian Heart Journal and one of the founder members of the Lipid Association of India. He is presently the President of the Cardiological Society of Assam. .
Dr. Guha is a graduate from SCB Medical College, Cuttack. He completed his MD in General Medicine from Orissa in 1983. He did his Diploma in Cardiology in 1984 and DM in Cardiology in 1988 from University of Calcutta. He joined West Bengal Health Service and has served in West Bengal Medical Education Service for the last 24 years in different capacities. For the last 12 years he is serving as Professor of Cardiology and presently he is the Professor and Head, Department of Cardiology, Medical College, Kolkata. He has served in different capacities in Cardiological Society of India (CSI) and currently holds the position of Immediate Past President of CSI. He was the Chairman, Scientific Committee of the 67th Annual Conference of CSI, held at Chennai and the Organizing Secretary of the Midterm National Interventional Council Meet-2013, held at Kolkata. He is in the editorial board of several reputed journals and he is a DM and DNB examiner for the last 9 years. He has several publications to his credit in national and international journals of repute. He was the Editor in Chief of Update in Cardiology 2015 and Hand Book of Cardiac Critical Care. He is fellow of Cardiological Society of India, Indian College of Cardiology, European Society of Cardiology, West Bengal Academy of Science and Technology and American College of Cardiology.Presently he is also the Chairman, Guidelines Committee of CSI.
